I'm in the market for a new riding mower and came across a nice used TG1860G at the local dealer. 143 hours, but looks like the new diesel it was sitting next to. Couldn't even tell it was used until the guy pointed out the slightly dirty tires. 54" deck with mulching attachment installed and no KRA system! Not exactly sure of the year, but he thought it was 3-4 years old. $4000!

I've read great things about these, but my main concern is that there's no warranty should anything happen. I was considering a new Kubota T series or an LT/LX Deere before I spied this one.

What are some problem areas I should check? How do you owners like yours? Does this sound like a decent price?

Thanks.

I've had one since 1998. It has over 600 hours of trouble free time on it. Only thing replaced has been the battery. Don't know about the price, but I think you can count on tractor lasting a long time.

I've got the diesel model - had it about a year now. No complaints, it's a nice heavy duty lawn tractor and a real miser on fuel. Only thing I'd check out would be the hydro unit - make sure it has no leaks and is operating properly.

Would you say that your hydro has some whine to it when moving?

Good to hear. I really don't think I can beat it. Hopefully I'll be able to get over there before it's gone.

My site? Oh, the Yahoo page! Thanks.

Yes sir, it does. Seems to vary with the load put on it. A friend of mine with one a couple years older than mine is the same way and the dealer says it's normal not to worry. I suspect you'd be happy with a TG Gerald - Good Luck !
