3-Point Hitch Telescoping Stabilizers

   / Telescoping Stabilizers #2
I'm not familar with them on a Kubota however, if memory serves me, our IH has them.

I was thrilled at the idea of finally having a tractor that had them (I love the idea) however, we got a pull type 10' Rhino and since that is the only use for this tractor, I have no use for them.

The sick irony is, the smaller IH that we have (with multiple 3pt impliments) doesn't have them.

So the machine where I use the 3point does not have telescoping stabilizers and the machine that does have them.... we don't use them.

Just my luck

I put them on my B2920 and I think they are a huge improvement. They hold the arms out and set to whatever width I want so with the Pat's system, I can just back up to the implement and it is set. It also has slots so you can put the pins in there and have a little sway. I use that when I have the rotary mower on so if I bump a tree there is not so much shock to the tractor. They came without instructions, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure them out.

Word of warning. I have a B3030. It comes standard with the telescoping stabilizers. I also have a BX with turnbuckles. I like the tele. stabs. but you have to be careful with them because they will not take compression. The inner bar will bend, especially if there is a hole outside of the outer box. The larger Kubotas use a box for the inner slider (resists bending). This is not a problem if you make sure one of the stabilizers is in tension before the other goes into compression. I raise the implement and push it to one side and then the other to check this. Since I have been doing this, I have not bent another stabilizer. It is hard to get the turnbuckles to go into compression due to the way they are mounted. Had I not put Pat's easy change on my BX, I would be looking at sliding stablizers for it, but now with Pat's on I don't often have to adjust the turnbuckles.
