I just purchased a G3038 gear transmission tractor to use on our produce farm alongside an older NH TC45DA tractor that we have. I am already tearing my hair out because the G3038 does not have telescoping lift arms. I have gotten used to telescoping lift arms on our NH. We hitch and unhitch a lot, often several times a day in the summer. Some of our implements are heavy (flail mower for example) and cannot be shifted by hand at all. It can be a real pain trying to line the tractor up perfectly to the lift arm pins on the implement.
My LS dealer said that the telescoping lift arms are not available on the G3038. He said that telescoping lift arms from the R-series tractors will not fit G-series - he tried doing that for another customer but they are not interchangeable.
I have heard that the NH Workmaster 40 is the same as the LS G3038. NH offers a telescopic lift arm option for that Workmaster 40. See their online parts store:
Official New Holland Online Parts Store and Online Parts Catalog for New Holland and Ford Tractors.
Any experience or thoughts on whether the Workmaster lift arm would fit the G3038?
Thanks!
