I have a MF gc2300. When i mowing lawn and turn a corner the inside tire is tearing up the lawn. What is causing this.

sounds like the diff lock is engaged. You can check it by jacking both rear tires off the ground [tractor not running] turn one tire by hand ,hold the other from turning and if the one that your holding wants to fight you and rotate in the same direction as the one your turning then the diff lock is engaged. Now if the tire that your holding wants to turn in the opposite direction then the diff lock is OK.

You have had a lot of rain and my guess is you are turning too sharp of a circle for conditions and the inside is simply turning faster than the outside. I've done it, or use to do it frequently. You are probably trying to turn a tight circle around a tree or something and the tractor is sliding and the tire is doing the damage. If that is the case you need to mow differently in damp conditions and make a series of "pull forward, back up, cut side, back up, cut other side, etc". That will work.

If I guessed incorrectly, try the other posts about 4WD, etc. Advise how you make out.

Lot's of rain here also. Tore my yard up pretty good while mowing yesterday.

No choice though, it had to be done.

Long range forecast is calling for rain every day thru July 28th here. I expect to lose a lot more grass from spinning.

EDIT: I should clarify that the 'torn up' parts are the same as the OP's . Sharp turns around a couple of trees, and one bank that I mow that the tractor slid sideways down due to the wet ground.

If you guys take more gradual turns and do "three-point turns" around trees you won't tear up the grass anywhere near as much. It just takes a little longer to mow.

Same here in NH; some tearing up --or at least wearing the grass off-- in tight turns with my gc2310 (with just the MMM on).

Been real wet here as well... guess it's just something to live with, or not turn so tight.

Nice to see the streams aren't all dried up, but enough, already! Beginning to look like a jungle around here!
