TC55DA vibration on paved road. what is it?

When i am in hi gear going 18 mph on paved road i have a vibration on steering wheel. 2300 rpms with R4 tires in 2wd. This is what it does......It vibrates for about 4 seconds then fades to smooth for 3 seconds and fades back into a vibration for 4 seconds and then fades back to smooth for 3 seconds. I feel it on the wheel but not really on fenders or anything else i can grab. Its not engine nor tires. It has something to do with drive shaft, transfer, u-joints, front gears or something to that effect i believe. The only thing i can think of is on 4wd vehicles the gear ratios are out of sync so they dont lock up and one is a little different then the other from front to back. This may be the case also with a tractor but i was in 2wd but im not sure if things still turn in front end to cause this or not. Its not tire rotation or engine for sure. help!

I would check the drive shaft to the front end if it is like my 33 it turns all time. It may well be the ujoint on the shaft. I think your may be on the right track. there.

My TC45D does it too and it is from the tires. It varies with inflation pressure and the first time I noticed one side of the tire was running in loose gravel on the side of the road. Roto's vibration may not be tires, but mine is.

well i watch the tires and they turn smooth on new pavement and i see no vibration at all and they revolve several times between vibrations so not in sync at all with the tires and i still think something else. it just doesnt seem like power steering related to me.

My TC45D does it too and it is from the tires. It varies with inflation pressure and the first time I noticed one side of the tire was running in loose gravel on the side of the road. Roto's vibration may not be tires, but mine is.

I run my 7610s down the road to mow, and i know mine vibrates at 18 mph.. and it is for sure the rear tires... They vibe worse when they are 'cold' from setting. After driving 15-20 minutes that are pretty smooth.

Also.. as the tread is wearing offa them over the years they vibe less. On my ford 5000 at the same speed, etc..that still has plenty of ag tread.. it's like a washboard going down the road!

Could it be a side panel, hood, cowling, canopy, or hose rattle?

Yeop mine does that too, but I blamed it on the R4 tires. My cab starts shaking a bit too, but you don't have that.
