I have a 2003 TC45 with lowish hours - 690. The clutch pedal has become stiff over the past couple of weeks.

I've lubed up everything I can externally, and it's still stiff. I detached the linkage to make sure the pedal/pivot wasn't binding externally and it moves smooth. So, looking like it may be internal...? It's not too firm to press, but definitely harder than it used to be. I'm in Virginia, and it's also gotten colder - not sure if it's related. Also, coincidentally, the clutch has always squeaked/creaked when it's hot out and has been running a while.

Just fishing for some ideas about what's going on. Looking at parts diagrams online, it's a pretty basic setup.

Thanks.

Kind of off topic, but #38 in the diagram are zerks. It appears they are only accessible from within the clutch housing???

Quick question, is the PTO operating as it should? This means is the PTO operating as a live PTO i.e. if you half clutch does the PTO keep spinning but you can shift the transmission. If its not working properly then you probably have rusted clutch plates which can come from not blocking the clutch pedal and allowing the tractor to sit for a period of time. That is a common problem on this series tractor.
