TC35DA Backhoe hydraulic connections

Hi all, new guy here, name is Len.

I recently purchased a used NH 758C backhoe for my TC35DA and am having some trouble figuring out the hydraulic connections. My tractor was not originally equipped with a backhoe and does not have any rear remotes.

As I understand it from searching this site the backhoe is connected using the "power beyond" circuit that normally powers the 3 point hitch. I have acquired the necessary hydraulic components from Partspring (see attached parts diagram) and have identified the power beyond port #7 on the Diverter Valve for the pressure side connection. What I cant seem to identify is where the 1/2" hose, item 21, from the Back Hoe connects to the tractor to return hydraulic flow. The service manual I have doesn't address the Backhoe connections and as I understand it there was a service bulletin that describes the installation but I cant find it anywhere.

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of upgrade or if someone has a TC35-45 tractor, could you take a look and maybe take some pictures to guide me.

Have you tried contacting a local NH dealer for what you seek to do?
If none is available, or you've already gone that route without success, try Brian at Fit-Rite Hydraulics, an approved advertiser on TBN, and knowledgeable hydraulics guy.

Yes with limited success. The local NH franchise has changed hands since the TC series were available so there is little continuity on the parts and service side. They would be happy to bring it in on a time and materials basis to figure out a solution.

I was hoping someone here that has a 758C could take a quick look and send me in the right direction.

The pics are from my 2003 TC40 gear with a 758C backhoe. Hope this helps. Sorry about the dirty tractor.

This male coupling is where your hose 21 would attach. It's piped to the body of the casting where the 3pt control lever attaches.

This female quick connect is disconnected and the second backhoe hose (#19) leading to the front of the tractor along the subframe rail is connected to it when using the backhoe. When done with the backhoe, put the female connector back where it was.

You are welcome. A backhoe, even a small one on a CUT, is a nice thing to have available.

Just a FYI , Disconnect Hoses or Reconnect hoses with Tractor OFF . Once you are in position , turn off tractor to either switch hoses for B.H. or to revert back to 3 point . I was told this from the time I purchased my TC30 and the 758C B.H. . Can damage pump if tractor is running .

That's good advice. lenmann, do you need pointers on mounting and unmounting the backhoe?
