Is there a way to make the PTO shaft free turning? I've only had my tractor a short period of time and I want to hitch up a tiller. But, it seems like that will be a major hassle, if I can't get the PTO to turn by hand for alignment. Thanks guys!

Attach the tiller to the 3PH and lift it until the blades are off the ground. Turn the PTO shaft from the tiller so it mates to the PTO stub on your TC35D. The TC35D has a PTO brake that slows and stops the PTO very quickly as you disengage the lever. It cannot be moved. You have to rotate the implement shaft.

If you have the mid-PTO option, you can disengage the rear PTO so it will turn, but without the mid-PTO option, your PTO stub will not rotate. Some people have even installed an over-run clutch to defeat the brake, but that also makes a hazardous condition when you disengage the PTO with a rotary cutter and it keeps spinning. Your choice. . .

Thanks, I like the tractor a lot, but my Kubota shaft was free spinning. Much easier to hook up bushhogs etc.

I do not have a mid PTO, can I still install the over-run clutch? If so, will my bushhog yokes etc still fit like they are?

Thanks again!

The over-run clutch will add about 6" to your PTO stub length. More than likely, you will have to shorten the PTO shafts on your implements. That could end up being far more hassle than raising the implement enough to turn the PTO shaft. If you ever decide to go back to the non-clutch configuration, then you'll have a bunch of short shafts. I have a rotary cutter, tiller, post-hole digger, and chipper-shredder. That would be a lot of work for me.
