I noticed that my PTO is spinning even when I have it out of gear. It's not a fast spin, just a slow spin that I had not noticed before. Also, I read on here where someone had a 40 and the only repair was to split the rear end. I don't have $1700 to do the repair right now, will it hurt the tractor to run like it is until I get some funds?
I did notice in my search that someone said you should engage the PTO at low RPM's which I do. However, with my 6 foot bushhog, I have to really rev the PTO up to start the spin, or the tractor will bog down.
Any chance it could be something I can simply adjust? The tractor only has 700 hours on it.
Thanks!
