??????
I have a tc35d and I'm noticing a loss in power in my FEL and my transmission. Everything is still working but not as it should, My loader cant pick up as much weight and my tractor is not moving as it used to. I need to push the hydorststic pedal all the way down to get going. I just purchased a full filter kit including the hydro system filters, I hope I'm looking in the correct place. Thanks for any help

Check your oil.

If you have oil, it sounds as if you have a restriction on the shared sump withdrawal. It could be the hydraulic filter.

I would suggest not driving it much until you get this figured out, as the HST does not like to be oil starved.

Changing filters is a must, but I would not do that without changing fluid also unless it is the first service at 50 hours. You didn't mention how many hours you have.

The particular problem you have sounds like a restriction in the main hydraulic filter. That's the only one that would have an effect on both the FEL and HST transmission. It also has an effect on your 3PH, but you are probably just not noticing the problem there.

If you have to step down all the way on the HST pedal it is a very abnormal condition. You surely know that the pedal all the way down is like shifting to a higher gear. The most power is obtained with minimum pedal depression. If you have to go all the way down on the pedal, it's a sign of a severe restriction. I agree completely with dynasim that you are taking a chance operating this way.

I'm not using the tractor as it is, I did get the filters last week and now i'm just waiting for a free day to do the service. I will be changing the fluid also, is the fluid from napa ok to use? The tractor has 468 hrs now, I bought it 4 yrs ago with 414 hrs so you can see i dont get to use it much. Mostly for mowing. If anyone has the filter locations that would help alot. Thanks for the replies-JP

Make sure the Napa oil is compatible with New Holland MC134 spec. Some cheaper oils sold are hydraulic oils only, and not rated for use in HST transmissions. If it meets MC134 specs, then it should be okay to use. It should say "all-purpose" or something similar on the label.

OK I'll check the compatability, How about those filter and drain locations? It sure would save me alot of time. Thanks again

Filters: The HST filter is directly in front of your brake pedals on the left side of the tractor. The main hydraulic filter is between the rear transmission housing and the right wheel. Look under the right side and up by the rear wheel and you can't miss it. It's about 1 quart is size, maybe a little larger.

Drains: There are two drains for the transmission and one fill plug at the rear of the tractor behind your fuel tank and above where the toplink attaches. The dipstick is also there. The instructions say the reservoir holds almost 10 gallons, but I have never been able to drain anymore than 7-1/2 to 8 gallons out of mine. The picture below shows the two drain plugs (yes - there are two). Use the enclosed FWD driveshaft to help you locate the front drain. The rear drain is just in front of the bracket holding your swinging drawbar.
