TC33DA wont go in reverse

Hydrostatic transmission stuck in forward (wont go in neutral or reverse,have to use clutch to stop)
Any help would be really appreciated.

So, I'm guessing here, is the pedal stuck? Can you not force the pedal with your foot? There is a Centering Spring that could cause the pedal to not return, but that should allow you to move it manually to neutral or reverse. The other thing is the linkage into the transmission is loose or broken so that it is bound up and won't let the pedal return. I'd crawl under the right side operator platform with a good light and do an inspection (tractor off of course).

Pedal moves but stuck in forward motion (I can move pedal,but doesnt change).Checked linkage and that is good.Was wondering if anyone has had problem with pressure relief valves (3).Thanks for the reply jinman

I think your problem is external to the HST due to the way they work. When you move the input to the HST, it stays there if the linkage does not move it back. Item #26 in the diagram below is a bolt that attaches your linkage to the HST's swashplate input. If that is loose or broken, you would have a similar problem to yours. If your transmission is always going forward, with no neutral or reverse, it is because the swashplate is not moving. I think the pedal movements are not being transferred to the transmission due to something loose.

Remove the RH lower cowling that shrouds your steering column.Check the rod from inside the transmission that attaches to part #3. If cotter pin #28 has broken and the rod has slipped off the stud,it will cause it to remain in the direction it was at time of disconnect.

I'm referring to cotter pin #28 that's indicated to the left of the No.3

North of the border. There will be hiccups along the way but for the most part those are gonna be good pieces I think. I've moved on to the company we discussed but still here to help as I can when I can.
