TC33d question/price check

I ran across a TC33D today. It was a 1998 model and had 600hrs. They were asking $12,900.
What are some things to watch out for in this model/year tractor?
Is this a good price?

Loader? Supersteer with autotrack? good shape? (looks good, tires good, well maintained)

It has a loader not sure about the other items. It is in real good condition. It must have been garage kept. There is no fading at all.

Let me know what you think. Is there anything I should be aware of with this model? Is there anything in particular that I should look at when I go to test drive it?

I saw it in person and looks real clean with very littel wear marks

Well It does not have supersteer, then of course it does not have autotrac, that is about 1000 more, (allows you to turn in 5 ft circle without brakes.) but all in all it looks pretty good, it is not a DA model, so probably wont have swivel seat, not sure about cruise control. But that said, it looks pretty straight for it age, and 600 hours isnt all that many. You might seriously want to consider this one. Just my 2 cents, but look it over good if you can.

As far as what to look out for, I cannot think of anything, besides the normal wear and tear items, if you want you might try to PM Jinman he is kinda of a NH expert. look for him here on TBN,. I owned a 99 tc33DA with supersteer and loved it. I sold it when I moved, but I really enjoyed that tractor. I love my new Kubota too, but that NH was first class.

Doug, I got your PM, and although I'm not a TC33D expert, I'll tell you what I think. That tractor sold new in 1998 for around $15.5k to $16k with the loader. When it sold, it had a 3-year warranty and was not a 12 year old tractor. What I'm saying is that they are asking within $3k of the tractor's new price. Sure, today you will pay much more for a TC34DA, but that is today on a new technology tractor with a full warranty. I normally start by deducting $3k for having no warranty and then take another 15% off because it is used. That means I would offer $10.5k or $11k for that tractor. I think $12.9 is high for a 12 year old tractor that sold for the price I mentioned above. I think I'd offer $11k and see if they'll take it.

No, I think you offered your opinion, and that is what was needed. I knew you would know about what it was worth, that is why I recommended he contact you. The tractor looked pretty straight to me, as much as you can tell from 2 little photos, But I wasnt sure what it was worth, I sold mine in 2002 for 16,000, but it was a year newer, and was a DA model with super-steer and had about 200 hours on it then. Maybe he just hasn't had time to check back. thanks,

Just getting around to checking back in. Thanks for the opinion, that's exactly the type of thing I needed to hear. I liked what I saw when I looked at the tractor but wanted to see what others had to say. I think I will keep my eyes open some more this week and then make him the offer you suggested.
