Hi all,

Today I was getting ready to mow some grass with my TC 33. Normally we move the steering forward out of the way to get off and on the tractor.

When I sat down in the seat and raised the lock mechanism to move the steering wheel and column towards me, I could not get the column to lock in any position. It just moves back and forth.

With out checking, I am assuming that a pin either fell out or got locked in an open position

how do I fix this problem?

thanks Joe

The hydraulic cylinder that controls the position of the wheel is stuck down. A good dose of WD 40 or similar spray and vise grips will usually free it up.
You will need to remove cowling under steering wheel, and expose the cylinder.
Keep it well lubed and it lasts longer.
