I've been moving back in forth between old and new and I just came across this deal and it looks almost too good to pass up.

TC30 1-1 1/2 old 120 hours. Gear. FWD, FEL being sold at a reputable dealer about 8 miles from our farm. The tractor was a trade in for an 80 year old gentleman who needed to move to hydro trans because his knees were getting old.

The tractor is in great shape and looks almost showroom new.

My sense is that this is a great deal and I should jump. What do others think? Are you TC30 owners pleased with your tractors? Can the TC30 support a backhoe?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

I purchased the TC 30 last year and had good luck with it I had the FEL and NH 756C backhoe put on it also. It had the hydrostatic transmission. The tractor handled the backhoe fine but I wanted a little more dig depth. I also found the operating the controls (three point hitch) were giving me a back ache. Needless to say I traded up to the TC34DA with FEL and New Hollands new GH930 backhoe. The over all comfort of the new tractor verses the old are as different as night and day. I paid $23000.00 for the first package and paid $7000.00 to trade up to my new tractor. I feel I got my moneys worth with the up-grade. The boomer has better visibility and comfort. It also has all controls at you finger tips. The new backhoe has more leg room, a curved boom, and digs deeper. Buy the right tractor the first time. I had 120 HRS on the TC 30 when I traded up.

The TC30 is a good, no-frills tractor. As Big Horn said, it may not be as comfortable as some of the more modern style tractors, but it is a workhorse. I had one for about 4 years and never had an issue. What's the asking price?

Agree 100% with TheHammer. I've had mine for almost 4 years and just under 500 hours. I love it.

I do not have a backhoe, so cannot help you there.

Good luck and happy shopping.

Yes, the price would be helpful.

$11,500 for the entire package

I would say that's a pretty good price for a low hour machine.

I forgot you asked about a backhoe. I traded my TC30 for a T1520, which is pretty much the same except rated at more hp. I bought the 757C backhoe with it. It fits my needs pretty well. The only thing I noticed is my head comes pretty close to the ROPS when I operate the backhoe. I'm about 6'1", so if you're tall, you might want to check it out. Good luck.

just made the last payment on my tc30 hydro. 4 years and not one complaint. just remember it's a tractor (small at that) not a bulldozer. be good to it and it'll be good to you.

The ROPS on the TC30 are high and you have plenty of head room with the backhoe. I would suggest that you buy the New Holland backhoe (I understand it was made by Rhino) because it has a subframe. New Holland has introduce a new design in Backhoes and you may be able to pick up their old line cheap. I will say however that the 756C I had was tight on leg room for me. My new 930GS Backhoe is a much better design. I also prefer the hydro transmission myself. It was worth the extra money for my needs!
