Was using my TC29D this morning (1 hour), shut down to load firewood into bucket. Went to start it and it won稚 start. Getting indicator lights and I知 hearing a clicking near solenoid. I just put a new battery in this spring, any thoughts on what I might have going on. Hoping for a quick fix as this is my only means of snow removal and well it痴 snowing to beat the band out there. Thanks for any help.

A "click" near solenoid, or (rapid) "clicking"?

I'm going to guess: Battery, starter, a bad/loose wiring connection at battery, or bad ground connection to frame.

I'd start checking voltages, but remember just because you have voltages at places when current is not flowing (when not trying to start), doesn't mean there's a good connection that can pass 100's of amps when trying to start.

This is a known problem with this series of tractor. My TC29DA was doing the same thing. You have to rewire a portion of the starting circuit with a new solenoid. I did this 3 years ago and it has started every time since then. I found out about it here and it was right on the money. Do a search and you will get step by step instruction. It took me about an hour to do.

I am afraid I steered you slightly wrong, you need to put a new relay in the circuit not a solenoid.
Check out the sticky at the top of this page and there is a lot of information there.
