I am looking to purchase CUT to take care of 6+ acres of land. 3ac need bush hogged, 2ac mowed and the rest tilled. Looking at spending no more 17k for whole enchilada. I am looking to get the FEL, MMM and Tiller. Any suggestions and anybody know prices that I can work with?

Thanks

Zac

All of the tractors you have picked out will be under your maximum price. The JD2210 is a Sub-Compact, or a SUB-CUT. Both of the TC class tractors from New Holland, and the Kubota B7510 are considered small frame Compact Utility Tractors or CUTs.

The JD will have much lower ground clearance, its stong point will be mowing the lawn which it will excel at. It has a modest front end loader. You might also want to look at the JD4010, it is more like the other tractors in your selection.

The B7510 is probably the lightest tractor of your group, it is a 21hp machine so it will power a smaller tiller than either of the New Hollands you chose. It is a very good choice for mowing, will offer a better front loader than the JD2210.

The TC23 and 26 are heavier built than the B7510, they have an excellent front end loader, best in the class in terms of capacity on the small frame machines. It is a good mowing tractor but is heavier than the other machines so you'll need to be more careful when the ground is wet. The 26 has the most power, it will easily take a larger mower deck and larger tiller than any of the other choices, it will also be the most expensive but should top out under your limit.

Talked with the NH dealer and was quoted 19750 for the TC23 and 20679 for the TC/26.
Was quoted 18039 for the B7510 from the Kubota dealer.

Both are with taxes and such. Are these good prices or should I hold out for a lower price?

Well there must have been a price jump when they upped the engine hp from 21 to 23 and 24 to 26 on the TC series tractors this year! A MMM & FEL can add $5000 to $6000 to the cost. The tiller, depending on brand can run from about $900 to $2500 for something in the 50" size range. The problem with pricing is that it is very regional, here in N.W. Indiana I would say the price quote you got seems a bit high, but then again I've not seen new pricing on the TC23/26. (I own a TC24/MMM/FEL and a Kubota B2910TLB)

Here on TBN we do have a couple dealers in North Carolina who often have some very hot pricing. There is also Neil Messick in Pennsylvania who is a TBN member, and a New Holland & Kubota tractor dealer, I believe he delivers into Virginia.

I did price out a B7510 about 1 year ago, the price you got on that seems high to me also. Given the choice of the B7510 and the TC26, I would easily choose the TC26 for a 6 acre property, but I'd really want to research that price because I don't know that I'd be willing to pay that much, at least not until I shopped around a lot.

The Kubota will have a smoother running engine, IMO. They also have reportedly some of the lowest incidents of warrenty issues of any brand and are very refined. I think the Kubota is a great little machine, and a better choice for mowing because of its lighter weight. It gives up some FEL capacity, but you don't seem to indicate that is a prime concern and to be blunt, most of us don't push our little tractors to the extreme all the time. If time equaled money, then I'd want all the capacity I could get, but the practical difference is that to move a large mound of dirt from point A to point B, you will probably make 2 or 3 extra trips with the smaller tractor, so it really is not that big of a deal.

The TC26 gives you the abiltiy to pull a bigger tiller and turn a bigger mower deck. It also gives you more capacity on the FEL.

The discontinued NH TC24 is priced quite a bit lower than the TC26, and the only difference is the HP which you won't notice. If you can find one of these I would go for it, especially with 0% for 48 months. With this financing and price discount you will only be a few bucks per month more than the Kubota, and I personally feel that the NH is the better tractor.

There are still TC24DA at the dealers I just bought one. I got a price of $ 15,300 from Corriher in NC for the HST with the 12LA loader and got my local dealer to match it. I guess a tiller would add about $1,100 to $1,500 and the MMM to be $1,500 or more. That would still put you over the 17 k mark. I believe NH has 0% on the TC24 till at least the end of the month.
