TC21D Glow Plugs

Starting about a year ago or so, when cold starting our TC21D, the glow plugs would only turn on intermittently. No real rhyme or reason when the glow plug light would turn on. I found a way around it. Leave the machine in gear (range), and turn the key to the start position. The glow plugs will turn on. Count to ten or so. Then place range into neutral, and start. Ideally, it would be great to fix what appears to be a faulty glow plug controller, but this method will get you by, when you need glow plugs to get started.

My '04 TC33DA has similar issues, esp not lighting the plugs unless cranking. Thanks for the tip. :thumbsup: I'll have to try it.
