He did find the problem although he didn't elaborate on his solution.
If you have dash lights, look to see if you PTO light is on. This means the switch is "on" and you'll have a no start situation. It might mean just a little jiggle of the lever to get the light to go out. It could also mean the wires have been disconnected under the tractor. There are two bullet connectors under my tractor that transmit the PTO position to the safety start circuit. One of mine got pulled out and prevented the tractor from starting.

I have a similar problem with my tc18, it will be running then start to die like it's running out of diesel, sometimes it dies all the way and sometimes it stays running only to act up again later. When it dies, it starts right back up and as soon as you switch into gear from neutral it dies. Tested that switch and it testes good. I'm pretty sure it's something in the safety start circuit, but I'm lost on where to go look. The electrical diagram shows a safety start relay, but I can't find it in any online parts store? If anyone has any ideas, I sure would appreciate them. Thanks

If it runs OK with no load but dies when you start to put a load on it, your problem sounds much more like a dirty fuel filter or water in the sediment bowl. This happens periodically with my TC18 (it lives outside). Draining the sediment bowl and replacing the fuel filter always solves this for me. Yea, it's dies when you move the lever. I by passed the neutral/fast/slow lever switch and it ran fine for several days then it died when I took the brake off, now I have bypassed that switch and its running fine again. I am think the safety start switch relay and brake relay are the same relay?
