Seems we need to replace the front pinion shaft for the 4wd. Ours is stripped where the drive shaft collar slides on.
The front wheels/axle seem to work just fine in 2wd.
We are hoping that there is no damage inside the front differential - it has been suggested that the shaft stripped from using the tractor on pavement with the fwd engaged. Does this sound right?
