If you haven't already, you might try asking the same question of the guys on the Chinese Tractor Owners Association message board. I know that there are owners with varying opinions of TaskMaster who contribute regularly.

What part of the country do you live in?

I can post on the dealing swith Taskmaster,They are good people to deal with,I have ordered equipment from Rodger b4,I havnt owned a tractor by them so I cant comment on the tractor,im sure they are as reliable as and easy to to maintain as the Jinma tractors

I am getting ready to make an order of Jinma tractors this spring. I can set you up with a tractor and loader far cheaper than anyone else, and i live in Wisconsin. Let me know if you are interested. I would not buy from taskmaster if you live in wisconsin. If you want good dealer support and a labor warrenty then try Delgen tractors, in the wautoma area. if you want to save by doing your own assembly i may be your best bet. Let me know, schmitt@netwurx.net

Competition

From Mr. Schmalts 's message, I think perhaps many long time dealers for China Tractors will face many competitors in the future. Everyone of these competitors will think of buying tractors directly from the Original or a cheaper sources. Why and how this happenes? Because Jinma doesn't sign a sole agent contract or agreement with any dealers in USA. As my known, my company (http://www.good88.com) has at least 20 buyers from everywhere of USA. They bought Jinma(JM) directly from China, cheaper than buying from dealers in USA.
No sole agreement signed, no one except the factory can control it now.

For the SN series tractors we are handling, we have agent in USA. For the HB tractors 50HP~70HP, we do not have an agent at present. Does anyone want to be our agent of tractor HB series 50HP~70HP? Click http://www.good88.com/t-4wheel-hb-photos.htm and view the photos of HB. Once the agent agreement for HB signed, no one else can sell it to other buyers in the named territory of USA in the future.

Re: Competition

Good88,

For someone that is going to buy a single tractor vs a whole container, Schmalts offers a very good price. Are you now dealing to the end user that will buy only one? And how do you support them? Just curious, what does it cost for a single 284 with shipping and ALL the fees, etc delivered to mid-USA, say St Loius, MO?

IMO, you cut off all the dealers, and you will end up with nothing. There is no way I can beleive that you can effectively support the tractors from China. As a Jinma owner, I am concerned that this approuch will kill off this tractor.

Competition

Dear Mr. John S,
I am 100% agree with your opnion.
Generally we do not sell only one unit tractor to the end use buyers, the main reason is the aftersales service can not be well done(because we are in China far from USA). Only the dealer of bigger quantity buying can offer them the best aftersales service, like M/S.Taskmaster.
But sometimes at the very beginning, we received many e-mails for the inquiry of Jinma Tractor. Everyone said they will be a bigger buyer in the future. Then I gave them FOB Shanghai offers, then a purchase order (a trial order) for only one set of Tractor. I felt very headache for this.
For the SN tractor, we have agent in USA, that's China Diesel. We do not have agent for HB at present, we are looking for one.

Re: Competition

Good88,

Thanks for clearing that up. Since the initial post was looking for a single tractor, and you directly mentioned Schmalts in the above post, I assumed you meant that you had a better deal to go direct for a single tractor. Didn't make sense, but thats what I read into it. Thanks again.

Can someone give me the name and phone number of a dealer who can sell me parts for a TM532E. I am currently looking for a hydraulic oil filter and any parts manuals, repair manuals or schematics for this model. Please contact me at curtisjoffrion@yahoo.com with any info. Thanks

We have a good supply of DongFeng (company that made Taskmaster) parts. These parts have been ordered for current production and in some cases, don't fit the older tractors, but we are trying to add parts. Are you needed the strainer screen in the tube like housing under the transmission or a spin on ?(we probably have both). you can give me a call or send a PM. I will try to be more attentive here than I have been. it was a busy season for us.
