Tank Removal BX2660

If any BX owner has any tricks to share regarding removing their fuel tank please let me know. I think I have dirt or crud in my tank which is causing my machine to bog down as if it is fuel starved. I have already replaced both filters (the lower one twice in a span of a week) and also replaced the fuel pump thinking that might have been the problem.

Related to my issue if there is anyone on the south shore of MA that would be interested in replacing / cleaning my tank with my help I'd happily pay them. PM me if anyone is interested. I'd prefer to see the work being done and it could be done with my tools and in my clean garage.

Did you get this done ? I would like to know how as I a suffering same sort of issues.

I had a bar code label from a fuel can fall into my tank on my BX2360. Once in a while it would block the line, causing the machine to starve. I siphoned out as much fuel as I could. Then parked the machine on a slope sideways, fuel filler cap on the downside. Then took a shopvac (pulled the fiflter first) and sucked out remaining fuel and cleaned the tank. Found the label in the shopvac.

Might be worth a try, prior to pulling the tank. Also I use a large funnel with a screen filter on fill ups. Good luck.
