I'm beginning to think that any implements I buy should be built like an anvil.
I never properly considered the additional stresses that the hydraulic top link can put on your equipment. A few months ago I tore the top link attachment off a subsoiler while using it, and you might know it was borrowed. A pretty well-made piece too but it was better after I had it repaired. Then I traded for a lift-type disk the other day that appeared to be heavier than most of the newer ones you see around. It did a fine job until I applied too much pressure on the back gangs with the top link and bent the frame! It can be fixed and will be bullet-proof in a few days, but I should have thought about it I guess. Just a word of warning to others like me... That hydraulic top link is nice but you need to be aware of what you're doing with it!
