Currently have Kubota L4600HST, Kubota M7040, Kubota M8540, two Massey 265's, Massey 230, ...... Had Long 510, Mahindra 3510.Ford 4000, Deere 4230.
Any input on Tafe tractors? Specifically a 35di model. I havent laid eyes on it yet but he says it has a leaky injector pump but cranks and runs fine.

I had a neighbor that had a Tafe 35. It stayed in the shop a lot more than it should. Granted, he worked it hard but something was always wrong with it. Personally I'd keep looking.

No parts for Mahindra ? Fredricks is the largest Mahindra dealer in North Al. He can't get parts for a Mahindra ?

I sometimes worry about parts for My CX105. There is one McCormick dealer around me. If he ever closes. I'm in trouble
I have two Kubota dealers within 20 miles of me. Not worried about parts for my MX5100. They don't have much in stock.

Why? I live in PA and got McCormick parts from Arkansas in 2 days.
You’ll be able to get CX105 parts for decades.

told this story here before. Bought a 3510 about 2011. After I got it I found some issues with it and thought it was going to need the engine block replaced. No aftermarket builders had a block. No mahindra dealers had a block. No tractor salvage yards had a block. No new block, no used block, no remaned block, no rebuilt engine anywhere to be found.
After all that searching myself I called back local dealer. They said only a new motor for that machine was in stock and it was over seas and iirc was 6 weeks lead time, and the cost for it was more than I could have went and bought another ready to work 3510 for.

That model per Mahindra dealer was one of their most sold models. Same motor was in a 4110, just had a turbo added to it. If that was one of their most popular and sold models and there wasnt even a engine for it to be found in the US from Mahindra or any other supplier its not a machine i needed to keep, or a brand id continue to support.
There was also some body or trim items which no one had and iirc were listed as obsolete. The only option to repair that machine was the new motor. if it wasnt for that one option that machine would have been worth nothing more than scrap metal since it couldn't be fixed.

When I bought this 3510 i was actually new tractor shopping and was leaning toward a new 50 hp Mahindra. The 3510 experience lost them that sale and any future ones to me.

Ive dealt with a lot of kubota engines at work in mobile equipment in the past 20 years so ive got a good feel for product and aftermarket parts sourcing on them. When I went with a new kubota tractor one of the first things i did before purchasing was I checked to see if engine parts and aftermarket parts were available for it. And they were. Fuel shut offs. injector pump, injectors, engine rebuild kits, and reman engine availability.

Ive flipped several tractors over the years. Longs, 2 Mahindras, Allis chalmers, some grey market machines. I buy them knowing im not keeping them. I would never buy one to keep for myself.

Rmart30, also in Alabama. My son has a new Mahindra. The dealer doesn't even stock the filters. He got it new and wants to use their parts due to warranty. But has to order ahead to get them. We like to support local, but this dealer does not have parts, and no service at this location. My son will now travel 60 miles if he wants the part. Not a bad tractor, just picked the wrong dealer.

Ok, I see. I need mine for work ,so I keep them

I know what you mean about parts.
A couple yrs ago I bought a Kubota diesel zero turn. With 1.9 hours on the clock, it blew a head gasket and lost all coolant. the engine locked up.

Within about 3 weeks, the Kubota dealer had a new engine installed and ready to go

I had planned on keeping that 3510 Mahindra also but.
