Multiple Fords and Kubotas
Today, I bought a T4050 Supersteer, which will necessitate disposal of at least 3 or 4 of my (very good) vintage red and grey Fords sometime in the not so distant future.

With the 4050, I bought an 820TL FEL as well as a front weight package (6 weights) to counter balance a 10 or 10 1/2 foot mounted mower that I will use on some very steep ground. Does anyone know if the front weight bracket, which apparently bolts to the front differential casting (with or without the 6 weights), can be left in place when the loader is installed?

Secondly, my tractor has 16.9R30 rear and 11.2R24 front rubber. In order to lower the center of gravity a bit, I am considering swaping these for 16.9R28 rears and 12.4R20 front wheels/tires. My dealer has agreed to do this without charge if I so choose.

My question is: Sometime in the future, when I sell this tractor it is likely that the buyer will buy it as a hay tractor. Will the slightly decreased ground clearence resulting from the smaller diameter wheels/tires make it less useful as a hay tractor or otherwise lessen its resale value?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Rick.

I saw your post on YT and appreciate your advice. I may leave the loader frame in place sometimes while mowing but will likely remove it most of the time simply because it is so simple and will help with visibility. Maybe I'm becomming spoiled with this new fangled stuff. I did grow up on an AC WC with hand brakes and no hydraulics.
