I want to swap out a v-twin for a single cyl in a jd. can it be done? Both come from a jd. the one with a vtwin is a x304 the one with a single cyl is a 266.
it can be done, but you'll have less power, and a lot more vibration if you do that, you'd basically be downgrading the tractor!.. and if you ever sell it, the buyer would be extremely confused!..
