(I mean BX2350....cant change the title....)
I have a limited budget and am needing to get the following done on my 5 acre lot:
Keep dirt 'black' in new shelterbelt rows (12 450ft rows with 12'-15' spacing around each tree.
Maintain ~3.5-4 acres of field grass (brush hog it from time to time)
Repair/Maintain 300ft gravel drive (upkeep and snow removal)
So, what implements can i get away with for starters? Here's what i was thinking:
Tractor:
BX2530 - quoted at $10,250 for tractor and hydraulics for FEL (no FEL included in this price...just hydraulics)
Implements:
FEL - gravel work, moving timbers around that would be no more than 400lbs
Rake - gravel and shelterbelt maintenance
rear 60" blade for snow
Land Pride rotary cutter for 20HP tractor - field maintenance
So, are these the correct implements i should be looking at? How about the base price on the tractor - its just a hair under MSRP, how much more should i ask them to come down? $14K is my ceiling.
I'm looking at new primarily b/c i want something easy to drive that many operators can hop on and go. And i'll be building a house on my own against a clock..and tractor repair and screwing around simply cant be part of it.
So, in short....am i on the right track? suggestions??
thanks.
