Super UDT 2 In Canada?

Hello all. Its time to consider changing the Tranny/Hydro fluid on my L3400. I have read on TBN about the reduction of the HST whine by using the SUDT2 fluid. I was into the dealer in Stouffville and they carry "premium UDT" fluid from Kubota. Is that the same as SUDT2?

I do not have first hand knowledge, but I have read in other posts that is not the same. Your best bet would be to contact Kubota and ask.

There are a couple of other companies that make synthetic UDT oil. Chevron I know makes it. So if your dealer doesn't carry SUDT 2 then I would check for another brand or finding someone who can order the SUDT 2.

I have read about Amsoil Transmission and Hydraulic oil. It's synthetic. I wonder what people think about that. I have a backhoe on the machine. I understand it can create alot of heat in the fluid. I'm new to this game and would like to here what more experienced users are using.

Kubota SUDT 2 is the easiest to get so that's why I use it. But I would guess that Amsoil's or Chevron's synthetic may actually be better. I thought I read that SUDT 2 is not a full synthetic while the others are. There was a local equipment company that carried the Chevron and I bought a 5 gallon pail once but not for my Kubota and they have closed their doors and I haven't found anyone who carries it locally.

Are you looking for a synthetic? Petro Canada Duratran synthetic is an excellent choice.
