So I will answer my own post.. I have learned my tractor calls for a 10-30 hyd, the Super S is a SAE 30.
It gets cold here in the winter, I will be returning the Super S.

grm61, what did you end up using in your tractor? I can't find any of the specified oils in my local farm stores.

About to do the 50 hr service on my Kioti DK 45 HST, My Wife picked me up 15 Gallons of Super S Premium Hydraulic Tractor Fluid.
Any experience with this oil? SUPER S PREMIUM UNIVERSAL J20C TRACTOR HYDRAULIC FLUID: Smitty's Supply, Inc.
My Super S premium (green can) hydraulic fluid can says it is equal or superior to (brands listed on the site) and Kubota UDT. NOT SUDT2 but UDT. While I don't know if the UDT is multiweight or not, that is what is recommended for my tractor per manual and per dealer. So I used the Super S last time I changed the oil. I haven't ran it much since so I cant comment on how it runs if any different from the UDT that was in it. I just wonder why the can specs many others than what is listed on the website. We don't have super cold weather here so I am not worried about below zero operating conditions. If I were, I might spring for some synthetic oil if available but for my temps it is not worth the extra cost as most of my work is governed by high temps not low.

Napa Premium Heavy Duty Tractor Hydraulic & Transmission Fluid...Part number 85-405....5 Gallon Pail.
Napa has several different tractor fluids, the one listed above meets the specs for our tractors.

Thanks grm61! I'm amazed at how difficult it is to find this information. In my area, none of the recommended fluids are available. We do have a Napa store and I'll be stopping there for my fluid change.

Yep, same here but we do have a Napa.
Remember to do the finals as well, before you do your Hyd service, run the tractor around a bit and get everything stirred up, so that the crap that's in there gets suspended in the oil.

For a drain pan for the trans, I cut off a 35 gallon plastic garbage can about a third of the way up, I jacked the tractor up 4 inches or so to get it under the trans. It holds a lot of oil and it comes out in a hurry.

I used a smaller pan on the finals.

I used a 80/90 synthetic blend for the front axle and finals since I had it on the shelf. (pull the front tires off, it makes it alot easier to do the finals)
The manual says you can use 80/90 or tractor fluid..My thoughts are the 80/90 may give a little more cushion to the gears when the front end is in a bind etc.

The napa oil buckets are white, I poured the the old oil back into the pails to take to the recycler.
The pails sat in my shed for a couple weeks before I took them to dump the oil.
Quite a bit of crap had settled out.
Sometime when I'm thinking about it ,I'll take a couple pictures of the bucket bottoms for the non believers that choose to skip doing the HYD fluid at 50, and just change filters.

Oh, and I used 5w40 Shell Rotella T6 synthetic in the motor, it seems quite happy with it, cold weather starting is excellent:thumbsup:

Thanks again for the info.

One question - what are you referring to in changing fluid in the "finals"? I've eyeballed the owners manual and see instructions on changing the engine oil, hydro trans fluid, and front axle fluid. I've already changed the engine oil/filter with the oil recommended by the dealer - Rotella 15w40 and had my dealer change the hydro/trans filters and fluid while resolving a warranty issue on the defective 4wd solenoid block. I'm finishing up with the axle fluid change here at home.

I would have normally done all the scheduled maintenance myself, but with the warranty work on the transmission, it made sense to have him change that while in there.

The book offers a variety of fluids and oils and at times contradicts itself. I'm curious about the engine oil you are using. While I've not had any problems starting in cold weather, I'm thinking your engine oil offers better cold start protection then what I've got in my engine. Might go to that at the next oil change.
