when I purchased a used FEL it came with this mounting bracket, I had no way to convert it to be used with my tractor so I custom built a bracket and I had to use the mounting saddles from this other bracket, I have been thinking of what I could do with this old one besides throwing it away, Is their anyone can envision some sort of tool can be made from this? it weighs just under 200 lbs and is 44" wide, It looks like it would be easy enough to add pins and an upper connection to make it a 3pnt. ?? recycle steel price is at only 7.50 per 100lbs so i'd be lucky to get 13 bucks for it, I think this thing would have cost over 200 when purchased new  figured could make some better use of it? any idea's?:)

some kind of error happen with my previous post and cnnot delete, please Mods would you remove that post?
Thanks!

Weld some 1 in tines to the bottom for a root rake, plus some mounting brackets. Maybe a tree cutter. How about a tree scoop with the addition of some bent 1/4 in steel.

If you can't find a use for it, please send it to me. :D:D

If all else fails cut it apart and use the steel for a project,

What is the spacing on the verticals? could they possibly fit the slots on a box blade meant for scarifier teeth?

Set it on a shelf{or out of the way somewhere} steel allways comes in handy especially when you least expect it.

You could make a 3ph mounted fork set with that. Add to the two pieces that you cut, and make it into a rectangle frame for the top of the forks. The top link attachment point can be worked out as well. It looks strong to build onto whatever you decide.

How about a stand for holding up FEL when not attached to tractor, or possibly welding casters on the bottom and using it to store a snow plow blade (or something else) so you can wheel it around easily?

I would not give it away for $14.00 ... put it next to the house and attach a Gadsden flag to it.

I really can't come up with any use for it, if it were a bit wider 5 ft. I could try making some sort of rock rake, I have a 5 ft. pulverizer that does a heck of a job on raking roots and smoothing soil, this thing is made from 6" channel and the upright arms are spaced at 14" apart and made from 1/2" steel, it is very strong, not really heavy enough to use as a ballast weight for the rear besides I do have heavier implements can be used, the front wench mount would have worked, but I already have a mount that I can quickly remove my wench from ;)
