Got myself stuck this weekend. Well, not really -stuck- so much as in a bind. I got just a little too clever for my own good backing the RFM around the telephone company box, managing to get it between the rear tire and the mower, and couldn't for the life of me maneuver out of the situation. Mind you, this is downhill and at the edge of the ditch. I finally gave up trying, unhitched the mower, moved it downhill and sideways a couple of feet, and re-hitched. I guess all that practice payed off - ever hitched an implement at a compound angle while on a hill? I'm saving the close work for the trimmer next time!

Can't say I haven't come darn close to doing the same thing myself.
There is something to be said for watching the way the RFM wheels are rolling and figuring out which way they will "throw" the deck if you change direction. The direction you have the front wheels turned affect this, also. Sort of like backing up a trailer only compounded.
Good job on rehooking, though!

Forgot to add... getting the new lawn tractor stuck the first time you use it would qualify as less than smart, too. I guess there's something to be said for knowing the difference between 2 and 4WD, also. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
