So this may be the best idea ever -- or not. I have a few really large stumps at my place and I was thinking of drilling holes in them to help them rot up quicker. I've heard of pouring diesel fuel, commercial chemical elixers, et al into them to speed the process. But then I thought -- hey, why not pour salt into the holes. This would attract porcupines and other knawing creatures who might just chip and eat the stump into oblivion.
