Stuck 4WD info

Recently my L3301 Hydro was stuck in 4WD. Read all the suggestions(prop up wheels rock pedal etc) with no luck . Took a look under the tractor and realized that the link arm was bent, Straightened it and I was fine. But this makes me wonder about putting some sort of skid plate on the frame as there are a who;e lot of unprotected things under there!
Anyone done this?

No, but I think it is a great idea for those of us who use our tractors in the woods etc. I have not had any major damage but I did have a cedar branch snake up through the engine compartment and poke a hole in my radiator. I've had branches snagged all underneath my tractor as well.

If custom fit skid plates were a factory/dealer option then I'd buy them.

The tractors they use to mow power lines and right-of-ways usually have beefy 'armor' underneath.

Not sure how hard it would be to fabricate this sort of thing but it looks like it would be hard to make it nice and neat.

Some sort skid plate would be good idea,for I had limbs/branches caught in which pliers were needed.
