In the middle of one big lightning storm, heavy rain, windy, power keeps going off and on, my hughes net is down, but my verizon mifi is working like a charm..

We're due for one tomorrow (high of 55 with rain and wind) and another on Wednesday. The weatherman called tomorrow "A soaker" with heavy rain all day long. Our normal high for tomorrow is 70. We've been 10-15 degrees below normal for over a month now. Sure wish spring would get here so the garden will start growing.

We got plenty of lightning, eventually storm and good soaking. Oh well, the vineyard has to be sprayed again

That was a wild looking storm. For a while it was tracking straight towards Charles after moving past the western side of DC. At the last minute it ended up tracking farther due east that originally plan, so it kind of just split us. Didn't really hear any thunder, but sure got a good bit of rain.

Oh Yea, I was watching it on the radar and saw that it looked like it was a very angry storm heavy red center so I was concerned about its path, But after a while it appeared that it was going to dive just below us (northern calvert) ... It was about 10:30pm I went to bed with window fans still on "trusting" nothing would come in and it didn't. Heard a little rumbling of thunder just before falling asleep but nothing woke me up..:thumbsup:
But it did rain, don't know how much, some is better than none.
At least there was no hail like the storm that hit waldorf two weeks ago causing all the car dealers to be having a Big sale on "new" Hail damaged cars

We had thunder/lightening/rain the last couple eves. Usually by now, the central Calif foothills are turning pretty brown. Not this year...
This is a big camping/outdoors holiday; lots of campgrounds are still snowed in in the upper elevations. News stations are telling Sierra travelrs to pack chains this weekend. Multiple ski resorts(Squaw Valley, Heavenly, and a couple othere) are going to have lifts open for the three day weekend. It has snowed multiple times this week over the summits near Lake Tahoe.
