Does anyone store their tractor outside in the elements? Carport? Garage? How about the 3 Point Implements?

Mine just gets a tarp over the operator's station, 'cuz my third garage bay has become a workshop. Of course, the dealer kept them all outside anyway!

Over there on the "wet side" where you are welyell - its going to be a tad different than here on the "dry side". My tractor(s) have always been parked in one stall of my carport. This stall is closed on the sides and open on both ends. It keeps the rain, snow and sunshine off the tractor and, most importantly, sunshine off the tires. My attachment with moving parts - grapple and chipper are also stored in a stall of the carport - carport has four stalls. The implements with no moving parts - ROBB, moldboard plow, disk harrow, LPGS are stored out in the orchard - each up on its own wood pallet - no covers. Wish I had a big 'ol barn - but that takes a lot of $$$$ and I'm going to have to be satisfied with things the way they are.

We moved onto the property here in '82. Bought my first tractor new in '82. Traded it in, in 2009, and the tires were still in great shape after 27 years. Keep the tires OUT OF THE SUN.

My carport is nothing fancy. It would look right at place on the old show - Beverly Hillbillies. Started out as a two bay - now its four bay - plus a single really large separate bay for the tractor.

All my implaments are always outside. I scratch them on the dirt so putting them inside dosnt make sence to me. My tractor stays outside. Its a 1957 and has survived.

Mine are outside for now. Long term plan is to have a roof over them once we move. Not going to bother with it here, as we will be moving in the next year-ish.

Keep mine outside but cover also attachments but off the ground.

Cars stay outside, tractor stays inside. Really nice in the winter to have the tractor above freezing as it pops right off and warms up quickly when I need to clear the lane.

My B7800, open-station, is parked under cover. My cabbed Kioti lives outside. Scads of tractors around me live out in the open air (which sees LOTS of rain).

Cold weather isn't much of an issue (good functioning GP/pre-heating system should handle well down to 0 F without signs of balking). My cars get the garage (un-heated): wife wanted to avoid having to scrape ice in the winter so I had a car garage+shop built.

Before I added a lean to on my pole barn I used a tarp to cover my tractor, now it's under cover just to make it easier to get on and use. I store all my implements on pallets and cover them. Those free HF tarps are easily replaced.

You deal with much colder temps than I do here on Vashon :) Puget Sound acts like a big heat sink around the Island. I've been looking at the steel carports with full sidewalls and open on the ends. I can get a 10'x20' without a building permit (King County Permitting Sucks!!!)
