I covered mine with 10x12 heavy duty tarp over hood, controls and seat until spring when I can get better storage setup. My bro bought a shelter logic tarp shed until he builds his barn.
Edit to add: During my commute, I pass by an older tractor backhoe stored under one of those $1095 carports, set on an asphalt drive on the side of the house.
A carport will work fine. A portable garage / carport will work for a while if you anchor it well. For about $500 you can get a garage in a box that will hold up for quite a while.
my rk55 sets under one of those $995 carports. its 10蜘 and 21 long. it is anchored to railroad ties for heigth and to keep the wind from moving it. i also put tarps on the sides to keep rain from blowing in. it work fine. good luck
