I'm on a quest to increase the useable storage places in my RTV. For the RTV being one of the largest UV's, it has to have the absolute least amount of useable storage space. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I'd really appreciate any suggestions of places that sell gloveboxes or the like for the RTV.

I have a Yamaha Rhino, and it came from the factory with a large glovebox and a really large storage space under the driver's side seat. I purchased the floor console and under the drivers seat waterproof storage box from Hunterworks. Between the three places, I end up storing all of the items we take along riding in the Rhino. I badly need to get the RTV up to be able to carry it's own items! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif No more using it's smaller stablemate to carry everything! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I have a toolbox that drops in the bed and is mounted with a J-Bolt that make removal a five minute project. See attached picture...

Second shot of box.

This box is made from aluminum tread plate and powder coat painted black. Lockable with SS paddle handles.

That looks great. Very functional.

I have been toying with the idea of drilling into the ROPS and attaching a toolbox near the top. Since I don't have a cab. The area appears to be good ergonomically and I could still use the dump and or stand in the bed to get the tools. Before someone dumps me of course. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have not had the time to do it, then of course there is the dreaded "I drilled my ROPS" syndrome. But a lightweight box either centered or running the width of the ROPS would give ample room.

FL_cracker, would your bed still fit with a bedliner? I have both a spray in liner and also a drop in liner in my bed. It looks like your box seals well and the J hooks you mention would keep it from moving.

Mike,

Obviously, nobody would recommend you drill into the ROPS. Here's a great alternative I found. Go to e-bay and do a search on "O-Clamp". They're used for stage lighting systems but the ones that can do 2" fit perfectly on the ROPS. As I recall, the ones I'm using hold 35# per clamp but there's better ones (if you really think you need it) that can hold 1000#/clamp. They work perfectly for mounting stuff to the ROPS.

1/4" gap both sides. Future boxes will be made with 1" gap each side to allow for factory liner. J-Hooks hold it good. I have a spray in liner and I don't think you could get it to move if you used a tractor. (had to say that, this is TBN)

New utility bar will be next. This will hold my guns, bow, pole saw and other long tools.... Will post pictures over on my other thread. My Thread

Muffler clamps work good too.

Yep. I used a couple of those as well. I prefer the O-Clamps on things that I may want to remove (windshield, speakers...).

Muffler clamps also rust pretty quickly.
