Storage idea for dk 45 cab

I got tired of stepping on chains on the floor of the cab so I welded a box to fit under the step that i don't use. It will hold about 75' of chain .Now I have to work on a place to hold a chainsaw.

That's a great idea....did you use some heavy steel? I have caught that step on bramble/brush a few times, kinda worried I rip the whole thing off.

Are there drain holes in the bottom of the box? I'd be inclined to have a cover for it both to keep the weather out and to keep the chains from bouncing out on rough ground. This is a great idea and one I may well copy.

I have a wooden chainsaw scabbard on my carryall box, but I haven't yet figured a good way to mount one on my DK45S cab tractor when I don't have the carryall hooked up. I've looked at the brush guard and the FEL arms and saw a posting from someone who had fabricated a chainsaw carry tray that mounted over the hood, but I'm still hoping to see something that works well, but doesn't interfere as much with forward visibility.

I made it out of 1/8" plate and did drill 4 drain holes in the bottom to let the water out, but I was still thinking of putting a piece of rubber over the top to keep out water and snow. I'm thinking of putting a chainsaw holder on the same side of the tractor and mounting it to the suppport that has the signal lights on it.
