2011 LS R4041EZ - 2014 Bad Boy CZT Elite - 1948 Ford 8N
Needed a pto sleeve and stopped in. Never been to this dealership. On the way out.. decided to take a look at the Boomer line of tractors they had in showroom. Now keep in mind that I just took delivery on tue of my LS R4041 EZ. I walked over and looked at the Boomer40. I have heard that LS is making these for New Holland. I couldn't believe my eyes. This thing was 90% identical to my machine. Same specs, styling, everything. I didn't ask for a price but I would think it was more than the 18,250 I paid for mine.

Go back or call them up and ask em for a price. I think all of us are excited to hear what kind of mark-up we didn't have to pay.

Boomer632:

Congrats! on your new 4041.

Tomorrow I'll look at a 4010 and a 4041EZ. If you don't mind, what made you go for the 4041 (assuming you had a choice) over the 4010?

Just gathering information.

Best,
Alan

the 4041 is the replacement 2011 model for the 4010. Mostly the same tractor but a few changes like fender mounted loader joystick. They also have a new tranny option, the EZ shift

I got a price on a hydrostatic Boomer 40 with loader and one remote for $21,500. They put a different loader on it than the LS model and the remotes are optional I believe. Other than that I'm not sure on the differences.

So about $3000 markup on a New Holland sticker provided the loaders are equal. Ought to check the specs on the loaders but that might be going a bit too far. HAHA

$3000 would be better spent getting a bushhog, boxblade and a grapple. Tractor+loader or tractor+loader+bushhog+boxblade+grapple? I think we know the right decision there!

The $18,250 price he got is for the EZ which I believe is the powershift model. I'm not sure if the hydrostatic would cost more or not. I'm not sure if he had a loader or not. Either way $18,250 for an R4041 EZ is a great price.

On the RCO website they had an R4041 for $21,533 with mower and box blade. I'm going to guess Mower and box blade is less than $1,000 and from what I've been able to gather LS tractors are cheaper down South than where I'm at. So, I'm not sure if I could get that deal up here or not. Also, the $21,500 price I got was off the cuff with no haggling.

With that in mind the absolute best price I've ever got on an hydrostatic R3039 was $18,500 with loader after many trips to the LS dealer and talking. Before that the best price on an R3039H was $20,500.

I'm sure you'll pay a little more for the New Holland but I would be shocked if after all the haggling it was more than $500.

My best price P series LS was within $300 of my walk in price comparible Kubota. And, New Holland has come out with a new series tractor on here that IMO abosolutely smokes the LS for $1,500 more.

So, I think LS has good value and I think in the CUV's and smaller tracotors you can save some money but it's not $3,000, it's more like $300, at least in my neck of the woods. Getting an LS with New Holland on it and getting New Holland dealer support is worth more than $300 to me especially since I can't ever get LS dealer to call me back.

I have no memory said:

I paid exactly that for my Boomer 50 but without the rear remote.

Sorry to hear about your experience with LS. There is bound to be some uncaring LS dealers out there. We usually see that more often in the green and orange brands but it happens with all of them.

Went to the local NH dealer yesterday. There were no new Boomers there, but plenty of orange Koiti's.
