The $18,250 price he got is for the EZ which I believe is the powershift model. I'm not sure if the hydrostatic would cost more or not. I'm not sure if he had a loader or not. Either way $18,250 for an R4041 EZ is a great price.
On the RCO website they had an R4041 for $21,533 with mower and box blade. I'm going to guess Mower and box blade is less than $1,000 and from what I've been able to gather LS tractors are cheaper down South than where I'm at. So, I'm not sure if I could get that deal up here or not. Also, the $21,500 price I got was off the cuff with no haggling.
With that in mind the absolute best price I've ever got on an hydrostatic R3039 was $18,500 with loader after many trips to the LS dealer and talking. Before that the best price on an R3039H was $20,500.
I'm sure you'll pay a little more for the New Holland but I would be shocked if after all the haggling it was more than $500.
My best price P series LS was within $300 of my walk in price comparible Kubota. And, New Holland has come out with a new series tractor on here that IMO abosolutely smokes the LS for $1,500 more.
So, I think LS has good value and I think in the CUV's and smaller tracotors you can save some money but it's not $3,000, it's more like $300, at least in my neck of the woods. Getting an LS with New Holland on it and getting New Holland dealer support is worth more than $300 to me especially since I can't ever get LS dealer to call me back.
