That's good it's working for you. :D :D

I have sometimes considered a potato picker for my stones but the tractor would not be large enough.:D

Chickenman,
Neat equipment. When I did a college exchange program outside of St. Petersburg Russia in the summer of 92, A group of Scotsman was there at the college trying to get them to modernize their potato production methods. Step one was for them to remove the rocks from the fields. Lets just say they had a larger version of your machine and at the end they had a nice gravel lane alongside every field they did. :D But one of the draw backs was the machine didn't know the difference between a rock and 88mm howitzer shell from WWII. In one field they picked up 6 of them, some had fuses, some were empty, and some were bent like a bananas.

Most of the potato harvesting equipment around here (Idaho) uses flat chain belts made of horizontal links that span the width of the digger. Changing these out is pretty involved as you not only have to replace the chain, but all associated drives and sprockets as well.

I've thought a number of times that someone could re-engineer a spud digger into a rock picker, but in all the years I've been in Idaho I've never seen one.
