Still no snow in Maine This is crazy

Yesterday it was in the 40's. Warm out agian today. No snow in sight. I should be happy but this just doesn't seem right to me. Also I just dumped a lot of time & money into setting my tractor up for snow removal. I should have got some snow removal contracts for this year,..I'd be raking in the dough.

Silly, but I have been waiting for a chance to test the tractor I bought in may for a while. 1/2 inch today, may go out and push it around just to get the feel for it.

Wyld Bill..it does seem tad strange,about year ago after that nasty northeaster we had short January thaw..warm temp and green/brown grass than old man winter finally arrive..becareful what you ask for.

I believe winter 78-79 no snow until end of January...fingers cross.

I dumped a lot of time & money into my *new* tractor and front snowblower this year too! But, I'm saving a bundle on elbow grease, soap and wax with this extended no-snow season. Not all of us in Maine are disappointed with the balmy weather.

Very odd in Michigan here as well. I've only had to get the tractor out and move snow once, but I didn't have too as it all melted off in a couple days anyway.

As the saying goes, "If you don't like Maine weather, wait a minute."

My problem with our Maine weather this year is that my driveway keeps freezing and thawing. Too much of it was made mostly from sand, which gets really soft in those freeze - rain - thaw cycles. I hand raked some of the ruts late this afternoon, hoping they would freeze up tonight. I didn't bother to get the tractor out, for fear of making things worse.

Wyld Bill - what part of Central Maine are you from? I live in Readfield.

No measureable snow here in South Dakota either. Bought a new to us 8 ft snowblower this year and nothing to use it on. Its going to be 50 deg on thursday. Think I might go golfing.
