Still cant make up my mind, bose QC2 or QC3??

I was in the bose store again yesterday, I previously made a search here on TBN and read the info given about the QC2 and QC3. I walked into the store yesterday having made up my mind i was going to buy the QC2, over ear design.. So, I put on the head sets and listened to the demo for both. I know a lot of you guys support the 'over the ear' design qc2 instead of the 'on the ear' qc3 but having heard the demo again, it appears the noise cancelling of the qc3 is more effective than the qc2. Now I know the demo is to replicate an aircraft cabin and it works pretty well for both models but how do the headsets compare when the wearer is sitting in the seat of a tractor?
At $299 for the qc2 and $349 for the qc3, I want to make sure I make the right decision... I did not buy the headset, I need to do some more procrasternating about which model...

I made this same decision 2 years ago...I chose the QC2. My main reason was that I would use them on the tractor most, and I felt the QC2 would stay in place better with the bouncing around than the QC3's. And saving $50 was a factor also

Since I travel frequently, I ended up with both. I think your observations are correct. The QC3 is nice for air travel but I prefer the QC2 for mowing and tractor work. I even bought my wife a QC2 for mowing. I've never seen her on the mower without them. I even prefer the QC2 to the far more expensive Shure SE530 earphones I use if I'm wearing a wide brim hat.

My wife is an international flight attendant who goes to Europe weekly. She started with the OC1 and loved them except for the size. When the OC2’s came out I bought her a set that she uses now. Of course then the OC3’s came out so I ask if she wanted to get a pair. She has tried them several times on the plane but decided to stick with what she has. She felt they worked well just didn’t feel the size difference was worth the up grade.

You will be happy with either while flying. It is amazing what a difference they make on a plane when you use them.

Just to confuse you even more, I have the QC2 but have purchased the CLEAR HARMONY headset. The differences I like are better sound (but that is a personal preference), you can disconnect the cord and still have noise cancellation, and they are more comfortable due to a deeper ear cup. They don't press on my ears. Also, you don't have to turn on the power to us them to listen to music without ANR.
