I want to clean out an old apple orchard (16 trees) that has not been pruned in over 15 years. I want to get as much firewood as possible out of this mess. The trees are loaded with sucker shoots that will drive you nuts because they grab a larger chain unless your running WOT. So I sold my 13 year old 021 and 4 year old 280 and bought a MS250 and MS362(20 and 25 inch bars using RSC and RSC3 chain).
I went with the MS250 conversion to PICCO to get 3.0 HP vs the 2.0 HP on the 021. And to stay with a powerhead weight of 10 lbs. The pix show the diff. between the span on the 7 and 6 tooth spur gears for a PICCO chain. The 6 tooth spans 27 mm and the 7 tooth 35 mm. Ended up with the 6 tooth for more torque on the chain. Actually, the 7 tooth was big enough to take a lot of free play off the chain adjuster thus it making it a PITA to mount the chain on the bar.
So the chain is PICCO #PMC3-55, 3/8 pitch and .050 gauge...mounted on a 16 in bar #3005-000-4813. Sorry, I don't have the sprocket numbers. The numbers stamped on the sprockets don't make any sense to me. However, "PICCO" is stamped on the cover. I will call the dealer to get the numbers and update this thread in a couple of days.

The pix of the apple tree I took down next to the house will give you an idea of the size of the cutting. The MS362 w/20" was only used to buck fron the butt up to the first crotch. The MS250 did everything else with ease.
