Steiner PTO speed?

I apologize, the horsepower is 11.6......2500x8/1714.. So you should be able to get around 5500 watts out of it...as long as you can maintain 3600 on a 2 pole generator or 1800 on a 4 pole..

I would still be able to power much of the house with that much wattage, but maybe I better just stick with keeping it exclusively for the Steiner.

At the risk of being a naysayer, I have had PTO gensets but don't like the idea of running tractors that don't have shut down systems unattended, especially if it is a full rpm type scenereo. Maybe some people can accept this risk, but I for one cannot.

I get that part, all i would do would be to install a warning siren (cheap car alarm siren works great)..you'd need a universal oil pressure switch that grounds at 4psi, and a coolant temp sensor that grounds around 210 degrees..wire in a push button bypass so you can override the siren when cranking. Feed 12v from key on power, to the siren, and hook both the sensors up to the negative wire. All our tractors have no electronic way of shutting down, there old mechanical, throw the fuel lever up to shut down.
