My TC 40D steering cylinder is leaking. I have the end cap screwed off and the tie rod end loose, but how do I loosen the plate holding the inboard end? I removed the two bolts holding the plate, but it is stuck. Does it require a puller of some kind? I don't need to remove the cylinder, just loosen it so I can get the ball joint end off of the bolt. Thanks in advance.

I was able to remove the plate by tapping down on the left hand side with a long punch then tapping a chisel between the plate and the axle alternating sides. The cylinder cap is cleaned up and ready for the reseal kit. I ground the edges of the retainer plate to make it easier to get a chisel in and remove it next time.
