Hello to all TBN good folks . Just wanted to read your comments and thoughts on steel sawhorse folding leg sawhorses . I have/had never owned a set of these . Just for years have owned A wood frames I made . Yesterday I received as a gift a set of Bora's . There suppose to be rated at 1500 lbs each . I opened box they came super extra well packaged and shipping protected. Mine do not have the adjustable leg option . The paint scheme and finish look exceptional on these . Another thing I like when you put your 2×4's on them , the bracket your wood sits on is drilled to attach screws in your wood to make it more sturdy . Also the center cross beams have holes predrilled to attach screws underneath to crossing flat placed 2x4 studs .

I ' am a near 65 yo retired guy . Not going to use them and beat them up on a job site daily , etc . Anybody own the Bora like me ? Or the Toughbuilts , Wen's or other brands ? Remember I received these as a gift . Think I 'am really going to like using them . Comments ? Hands on experience ?

Oh one last thing I realize there new but man do these things open and close quick . Goin to be a great space saver also. Thanks in advance for your thoughts , experiences and comments on the steel folding sawhorses of any brand .

I have a set of folding steel saw horses and only problem has been the friction on the legs do not keep them open anymore so you have to pay attention when setting them up. Other than that they are a space saver when folded and stored.

I've got Stanley. What a pain. I'd never buy another set. Legs don't stay open and unit is happy to fall over if, for example, you need to slam a 4 x 8 3/4" piece of plywood down on top. Just too heavy and bulky to ease it onto the sawhorse.
When I purchased last sawhorse, think it was made by Rubbermaid, so rubber or plastic. Folds for space saving, stays open when desired, and surprisingly sturdy

I've got 4 of the DeWalt branded sawhorses. Pretty sturdy, metal, the locking mechanism is a finger pincher. I like them and would recommend.

The Bora's are nice.

I've got a pair of the adjustable height Toughtbuit 5 yeas old or so, I like them because I can fold them up out of the way. The adjustable height is good as I can move them up and down to match the height of what ever tool I'm using, table or miter saw....but saying that.
The legs are not stiff enough when you open them up, if you push them sideways the far leg will usually fold, if not it'll move a lot, they're quite shaky. They had good thoughts and from new they were somewhat stiff but the piece that the legs hit against to hold them open bend and have to be bent back into shape to hold them open.
They're supposed to have a lifetime guarantee but I never think to contact the manufacturer about them.

I have a pr of plastic horses that do alright as long as you don't overload them. I have a set of homemade 1" sq tube rigid steel horses for heavier stuff

Have a pair of these, one of the best investments I've made.

Makes a good assembly/work platform - better than forks, no FEL leak down

I use my Stanley plastic ones often. I have an old "you build" 2x4 set (the ones with the steel brackets) that are standby, since they are pretty rickety. Those steel ones are much better, almost too nice to use/abuse...

I have a pair I bought at HD 10 years ago (not Bora, some no name) I like them but they are heavy and you have to be careful when setting up or taking down you don't get your fingers smashed by one of the legs. Otherwise they are great.

There was a time when carpenters took pride in their work. Wooden sawhorses were built with carefully fitted 1x4 legs carefully mortised into 2x4 stock and braced with plywood. Then things went to using a nail gun to nail 2x4s into an I beam shape and nailing the legs on cause it's going to get stolen or fall apart on the job site. Now stores sell saw horses ranging from plastic, to wood, to metal at varying price points and degrees of strength. The nice thing about the folding metal ones is they can be folded down for transport or storage. The better ones can carry a substantial amount of weight.
