Just bought a nice 16.5hp, 42" cut ridding mower. She starts and runs good, but it makes a weird noise when in forward gear. The PO said a repair shop said it was the brake linkage problem? Anyone experience this before and what do I need to do?:confused2:

Maybe??? I have an MTD shift on the go and I found that the left rear deck bracket bends and will occasionally hit the pulley assembly in the higher gears. I can bend it back but it is due to riding the left side of the deck up a bank.
