Anybody own or see the chainsaw in action with the Kubota RTV900?

Very expensive for a chainsaw so I want to know if the power is enough and the quality present for the price.

if i had a rtgv i would certainly have all the hydo attachments i could get. plus i would make a few more.i think the chainsaw would have plenty of power after all it has a rtv as the main power source. with some tweakin on the valves and you can get it to spin that saw really fast.

these tools are like $2 to $3K each --

-- totally overpriced and awkward, if you ask me --

-- sorta like running a chain-saw with an electric cord attached to it.

no thanks.

and also, who wants to deal with the hydr. fluid "weep" that happens every time you disconnect a hose --

Then it isn't for you,.. but you probably hate it when your coffee cup leaves the ring on the table from weeping,.... :)

People also use them for water pumps for forestry,.. post hole augers,.. They aren't for everyone,.. but for those that buy them its for a reason

I work for a major Kubota dealer and from using it it works awesome,.. no bog like a gas,.. just shear sawing power as long as your blade is sharp. They are limited in their reach,.. IMO the power tools aren't for the everyday joe,.. the machine has to be out in the bush,. of the like to make the tools useful,.. Too expensive to just sit in the shop and used a couple times a year.

I want to use it to make stove wood from 8' log delivered by log truck so I don't have to go far away from the RTV and the hydraulic chain saw make sence to me.

My new concern is about my RTV, a 2005 Turf model without the 5 gallon tank on the right side under the bed. The utility valve is connected on the bed lift tank.

Do you know if this setup is ok with the stanley tool or I need to upgrade with the 5 gallon tank. Also, do you know if the hydraulic pump is the same as the new model or I need to ugraded it too?
