im not sure what your talking about, basicly all the brushogs i have ever seen we steel that was cut out and bent to shape then welded, i have never seen one stamped outa a single piece of steel like a push mower deck, it would be a heck of a job since they are pretty heavy gauge, thats why all cutters i know of are fabricated and welded. do you have a link or picture of a stamped deck cutter? i have never seen one before

I have not seen stamped cutter, either. But I can easily recommend welded deck cutter because.....
Stamping so large deck which will require heavy deep drawing and this deep drawing machine is a lot of money which can be found only at big companies. This means.. if there is a cutter with stamped deck, then it's price will be high as big companies will not be satisfied with the small money/profit.

Is this what is meant by "stamped" deck?

I've seen many cutters where the top of the deck meets the apron with a sharp 90 degree angle, usually bent instead of welded, with next to no radius to the corner. The apron is made of multiple straight pieces that make the cutter's shape look like a non-equilateral hexagon.

Not sure if this kind of "stamped" deck (pictured above) by BushHog is more expensive than a "non-stamped" equivalent. I like the rounded look of this deck, though. I think the durability of one style compared to the other is probably negligible.

As you can see, there is plenty of welding on this deck, too. I think the radiused, rounded vs. the sharp cornered, angular style is more an exercise in cosmetics rather than an indicator of quality.

Or perhaps, BudDawg, this is not what you meant by stamped?
