and I went to put the backhoe on my 2004 DK50. Everything was working fine last fall when I took it off and put the rear blade on. So I dropped the blade and backed up to the backhoe and hooked up the hydraulics and when I was operating any of the backhoe joysticks, there was slight movement of the associated hydraulic cylinder, but literally milimeters of movement. So I switched the connections and nothing happened. I've got a hydraulic tilt for my rear blade and I hooked it up to the Hydraulic line and when I pulled the lever the tilt worked, so it appears there is some sort of issue in the backhoe. Can anyone enlighten me as to what is going on? I cannot get any of the joysticks to do any sort of movement. I checked the hydraulic fluid and it seems fine. I am perplexed. I've been messing with this over an hour and cannot figure out why it won't operate. Enlighten me someone.

There should be a lever or hydraulic hose connect to the 'power beyond' function of your tractor. Mine, a CK series, has dual remotes and in 'N', the 3 point and FEL operate normally. In 'A' or 'B', hydraulic pressure is also routed one of the rear ports to supply the backhoe.
Hope this helps.

Are all of your rear remote levers centered? I don't have a backhoe but I've found if the levers aren't both centered my hydraulics don't work.

All of your retention or safety pins removed?

Sorry I didn't come back to answer the questions... I lost my password. So, Patrick, on that lever do you have it forward or backward (A or B) or does it matter to initiate the flow to the rear hydraulics? I've tried moving all the levers everywhere and pretty much nothing happens- although it appears that fluid is traveling to the backhoe because I see the lines stiffen up as the I move any of the backhoe levers. And after I turn it off, the quick connects dont want to quick connect because they are pressurized. It is almost like there is some kind of blockage in the system. My local tractor dealer suggested I bleed the hoses going to the hydraulic cylinders because perhaps there may be an air bubble in there. And Yes, Justman, the safety pins are removed.

Are you sure the hyd lines are connected correct locked on , You don't have to bleed the backhoe it will bleed itself.....

So your supplying the backhoe with hydraulics from a rear service remote, and if so do you have more than one rear remote? Is so are you sure you have the hoses plugged into the same remote and not one in each, if so that would block the flow and hold pressure on the system. Also YES it matters as to which direction you have the lever locked in , the hoe valve must have flow in one direction as in some cases reverse flow can cause issues. A pic of your hoses and such plugged in and the valve would help us a lot.

My outer lever C and D, has no detent and so always returns to center when released. My inner lever has a detent in the center. I leave it there to supply tractor hydraulics to the 3point and FEL/grapple. In A, the tractor supplies hydraulic pressure to the back hoe. If I put lever in B, it supplies tractor hydraulics, but the backhoe controls are 'backwards'.
My remotes are on opposite sides of the rear, so I shouldn't mix them up, but my manual shows them as a group of 4. The connectors are set up to use vertically, not horizontally.
A -O C - O
B -O D - O
As CB said, you may be tapped into both??

Hope this helps.

Never used the back blade for snow this year. Never ever put it on.

ONE little snow fall that only required the FEL to make a push virtually all the way to the end of the 400 ft driveway.
