Sprayers - need an education, advice, etc.

I am looking to buy a sprayer for my fields. I have 180 acres I will want to spray herbicide (boom spray I guess) and spot treat for fence row, use it for when I am burning brush with just water. I talked to my John Deere dealer today and he recommened a REMCO unit. 200 Gal, 3 point, PTO driven with 20' boom and a gun with a 25' hose. $2720 setup, delivered, etc.

First of all, am I looking at the rigth product?
Is the price right?
What else should I consider?

I am sure there are more things I should be asking or answering.

The tractors I will be using is JD 4720 and a JD 5525 cab.

Also, I already have a 24 gal unit on my 4 wheeler we use for landscaping, etc.

I am wondering if I got the name right. Maybe he said DEMCO, instead of REMCO... Back to doing research.

I bought the exact same Demco unit back in '95, except mine is a 100 gallon tank. Was a little less than $1500 at that time.

Has been a nice unit.

You can find about the same thing for a little less at farm supply stores. They don't always have them sitting out front, won't be a brand name (Demco is a good name) but will be made of the same tank, control valve, and nozzles. Could be some cheaper.

But, I like mine.

It is Remcor. They are located just east of Hwy 75 in Howe, Texas. We bought a 3pt 150 gal two years ago and it works great. The owner up there (can't remember his name) is very sharp on his product. You can definately find it cheaper, but he will help you out years later. Just my two cents.
